In today’s society men and women hold each other to a set of standards. We all set standards for ourselves, significant others, and family. On our show last Wednesday, we addressed different reasons for double standards that men and women hold against the opposite sex. Why do some men who cheat on their woman get upset when he finds out his woman is cheating on him? Why do some women go after a man who makes a significant amount of money, but a man who does the same in return gets looked down on? Why is it ok for a man to sleep with multiple women, but if a woman does the same we quickly use the word “roller” or “slut” to define her. Why as men and women do we hold each other to these double standards? Tonight at 9 p.m. we will finish our discussion on the double standards that men and women have against the opposite sex. This morning J.cole’s highly anticipated debut album “The Sideline Story” was leaked over the internet. In a recent interview with Vibe magazine J.cole spoke on his album leaking over the interview.
“If anything the leak will reach out to more people who might be like ‘ah man, let’s go get this.’ So you know, it’s kind of like promotion these days—if you got a good album. If you don’t have a good album—they’ll just trash you.”
“There’s been worse leaks than that so I understand it’s apart of the game—I always understood that. As long as people hear it together—it’s cool. I just know that people who are going to buy it were going to buy it anyways and the people who weren’t—probably weren’t anyways.”
After listening to the album (yes I downloaded it) it is definitely a classic. I will still purchase the album next Tuesday to support J.cole and real hip-hop. Cole had his fans in anticipation for a debut album since releasing “The Come Up” in 2007. A mixtape that showed his potential of what he could bring to the table in hip-hop. In 2009 he released “The Warm up” which showed his growth on the mixtape circuit, it also featured “Lights Please” which caught the attention of Jay-z. This would lead to him being the first artist Jay-z signed under Roc Nation. In the Fall of 2010 he gave his fans “Friday Night Lights”. A mixtape that ended up being better than most hip-hop albums released in 2010. Since the release of FNL last November Cole’s fans have been on pins and needles for a debut album. He did not disappoint with a 19 track album including the intro and one interlude. This is definitely a must buy album the minute it’s available in stores.

How much would you spend to protect yourself during sex? If you would like to screw in style, you can pick up a Louis Vuitton condom for $60. Thats $55 more than the average box of condoms. Just think what you could spend that $55 on, instead of trying to impress your partner. Gas, food, a utility bill. It makes no sense to make this purchase, even if you’re able to afford it. For the ladies reading out here, would you be impressed if your partner whips out a Louis Vuitton condom? Would you rather him pull out a Magnum? Or are you happy he is trying to protect himself?
